They're all gorgeous, but I thought this one had an even cutesier face than usual with stunning colors. Lucky buyer, whoever snagged it!
 
I'll make a long story short. I bought a small 4" male Quoyi parrotfish yesterday. I was atempting to pair with my small female I have. I thought for sure he was going to die today, now Im not sure. I went to a LFS and they had a large male Quoyi, so I picked it up, thinking the other one wasn't going to make it. So, bottom line is, I now have three. One established female in my main tank and now two males in QT. Neither of the males eats yet. I'm not too concerned because the female didn't eat for over a week.

Mine from DD came in yesterday and ate both Hikari Mysis and LRS this afternoon. I'm very encouraged.

How big is yours jimmy n?
 
You know, I clicked buy so fast I didn't see. I'll let you know Friday:) When I went back it was of course gone.

I've been dd diving for one of these for a while.

I have a 240 with all small fish (blenny, goby, wrasse) outside of a kole tang. This will be my biggest fish by far. Show piece. I was going to go powder blue, but I thought this would be less aggression.

The quoyi on DD today was just below 5".

UPS lost the package and is sending it next business day which will be Monday. Total bummer. He will rot.
 
Uggh.

Certain packages just shouldn't be lost. Ever.

My Quoy's, after almost a month and a half of hiding in pipe fittings, rarely coming out (and that for only a few moments) and quite possibly never eating, passed away the other day. I'd picked up a princess parrotfish (in my area, most of the times I see "Princess Parrotfish" on the tank, that's what's inside, as well.) about half his size to see if the presence of another parrot would help - no joy. (She would even "bump" his tail with her beak, as if saying "Hey! Come out and play!" or "Do you wanna build a snowman?"

The princess is doing well, eating everything I throw in the tank and doing some pretty interesting things with her colors ... but dangit, I miss the Quoy's.
