qustions about mantis shrimp

Dinner and wine...

:D

All kidding aside, sexing is done by finding the gonopods of the males (they have two and they are joined to or very close to one of their sets of rear legs).

"Mantis shrimp" are really Stomatopods (so not directly shrimp, but still Crustaceans... I think...) ;)

Brighter minds than I will be along shortly with better details... I was just here for the quick chuckle. :D

Hey thanks, also do you have any ideas on topic sentences I'm doing a long report on these guys and have writers block

topic sentences:

Mating habits of stomatopods, from the monogamous to the promiscious.

Stomatopods have some of most complex eyes on the planet, if not the most complex, capable of seeing millions of colors and polarized light.

Stomatopods and the lies they tell, bluffing behaviors and territoriality.

HTH,
Mike.

BTW, be sure and go to blueboard.com and read up there, there are numerous articles on various facets of their behaviors and physiology.
