He was one of the very first fish added to this reef back in '06. He was a great fish.... mellow, beautiful (especially when he flashed), active, and the perfect size.

In the last couple months I noticed he started to get a bit skinny, and he often missed the food he was going after, suggesting some vision issues. Insteresting that at this point he was almost solid metallic blue!

Sorry to hear Peter. That was a beautiful specimen. Seeing pictures of yours inspired me to get a Lubbock's.

I'm sorry for your loss. Losing your oldest fish is always the worst. Afterall, new livestock needs to adjust and all...But when its a long term resident, it tears you up.
Condolences, Peter..

Sincerely,
Matthew

sorry to hear that.

my fairy wrasses die by "dissapearing". go missing in action after couple of months or years. i always feel sad.

but it must be saddening to see them breaking down in plain sight. maybe he died of old age. i like to think that everytime i lose a fish :( it helps.

Thanks folks. Yes, it definitely feels different when it's an old fish that you become attached to. Thanks for the kind words.
