R.I.P Rob Lower

Man that sucks. His facebook status shared his excitement about that 310ft dive. :( My thoughts are with his wife and kids. :(:(

In the excitement of seeing these rare fish people sometimes forget that people are risking their lives to get them. Sorry to hear about Rob's death.

There is a very kind article at reefkeepers that I am not allowed to link to
I am so sorry , words are insufficient

Absolutely horrible and I feel for Rob's wife and little daughter. Diving that deep is risky with any equipment and the margin for error is next to nothing. Another rebreather friend of mine on Oahu, Rich Pyle, almost met the same fate at the age of 19. For an idea of what Rob was dealing with and to understand the dangers of deep diving a bit more, read this story of what Rich Pyle wrote of his account with being nearly mortally bent...

it is shocking to see such a lively and enthusiastic man dying suddenly...again that reminds us the dark and dangerous part of this hobby...RIP...

Life is unfair.
I did have a chance to speak with him on the phone.
He seems to be a very nice guy.
Rest in peace. Mr. Lower.
All the best to your family.
