Radiant Wrasse and Sand Preference

I'm contemplating buying a Radiant wrasse but since they like to burrow in the sand I'm not sure if the type of sand I have now is suitable for them. I currently have around a 3/4" to 1" sandbed of CaribSea Special Grade sand (1.0 to 2.0mm).

Do they prefer more of a sugar sand and if so, what is the optimal sandbed depth? Also, when burrowing themselves, do they stir the sandbed up making the tank cloudy?

What you have is fine.

They will make a brief sandstorm from time-to-time, but nothing problematic. But this is a great reason NOT to use sugar sand with them.

I say yes, it'll get deeper in some spots due to flow, and he'll find those spots just fine.

I've got less than an inch in my tank, and keep three different Halichoeres wrasses.
