So this post is just me looking for advice or hope where I believe that there is none
Yesterday I received a $130 6" ROBTA from Reefer Madness OH my she was purrttty... acclimated her gently and placed her into my 700gal system... I knew that she would eventually get used to the tank and start looking for her mount but I was unprepared for how quickly this would occur... When I came back from lunch she was gone!
as I looked around I found small chunks of purple flesh lying in the sand... As I looked up and checked the closed loop intakes there she was maybe a quarter sized chunk like a big HOcker stuck on the intake AGGGG! How stupid of me ... when she got happy and inflated she was swept by the waves up into the intake... anyway I pulled that little piece off and threw it in the sink... My wife was upset and said to put it back into the tank... well OK I did.. this morning that little bitty piece is actually inflated with like 4 tentacles out and just a corner of her remaining foot partially attached to a rock.. she is doomed right??? there is no chance that she could recover right? is there anything that you would recommend to try to salvage her?? I really thought that she was already dead... advice would help...
OH BTW just to compound my agony, yesterday I bought an 8" purple Seabae to heal my wounded feelings... I was looking forward to the overnight package this morning ( I turned off the closed loop) Just now when I tracked the package it says,
12:18 AM

Delay beyond our control
Its gonna be a day late... do you think it will survive?
AM I not meant to have an anemone?
