Going to be setting up a shallow reef soon and still deciding on a lot of equipment. Seeing some successful tanks may sway our decision. Let's see them!

Why no Kessil?

Running 3 Hydra 26 HD's along with 3 T5 Bulbs in a LET Retrofit kit; Profile for my Hydras provided by Wazzel from above, just toned down to meet my corals needs so they didn't burn!

Great looking tanks guys.

Still can't decide what to use on a 30x30x12 sps tank. Was hoping to get away with one xr30 or 2 hydra 26's or one ap700. Leaning towards the xr30 but worried it's not going to cover enough of the tank

not trying to steer ya in the T5 direction , but whichever way ya go add some T5. Unless you decide on halide/LED lol

I'm Radion + T5 but the best color I saw was when I was Radion only. Goes to show the lights work AND it's not just about the lights;)

I really wanted to get the giesmann aurora 24" led/t5 fixture but can't bare to spend that much.

I'm hoping with just a radion xr30 that if there is a lot of shadowing I can switch out for the 120 degree reflectors to broaden the area each led covers. Tanks only 12" high so I'm not worried about killing par by switching. This is another main reason I'm leaning towards the xr30.

Only problem is......if it doesn't work i can put the Xr30 in a hood with some t5's or do some of you guys have them in hoods? Mind sharing your pics of how they're mounted?
