if it were that easy i would still have leds. imo, it is more about the physical limitions of led lighting. to get "full spectum" lighting the individual leds are placed on a panel and shine on the coral. each poylp on a sps coral is a single animal and i believe some polyps receive a very narrow range of light. this would have an adverse effect on the coral as a whole. imo this is why leathers and single poylp corals do very well under leds.
Actually this was an honest concern of mine. I tried to place lights as high as possible and still noted that deeper sps's show the most beautiful colors. The radion lights are luckily in a very tight bunch compared to some fixtures.
Other than that, I feel this discussion is unnecessarily catty.
It has been my own experience that radion pros grow SPS beautifully over the few months of their existence. I cannot extrapolate far past that.
Is 3 months insufficient time? Perhaps.. Maybe something happens later? I cannot figure out the Scientific reasons that would be th case though.
