Radions over a 93 cube

I just set up a new 93 rimless 30x30x24, and was given (yes given) 2 Gen 1 lights from RC Lounger Mark Bianco and have no idea what to do with them being an old MH guy from way back.

I have many questions.
Height, programming, do I need both of them over this tank, can I wash them in the washing machine, what do they eat...?

Any help is so welcome, thanks.

If you plan on keeping sps I think two of them would be perfect for that size tank. Since you got them for free I would consider buying the upgrades for them. I do t own them so I can't give you any of the other info but from what I've read you have to start them out at real low power. On a side note have you put water in the tank yet? I returned 2 tanks due to bad seams and it would be refreshing to hear of someone who got a good tank.

I would suggest trying to mimic what a T5/mh setup would do. Actinic for 10 hours, bring in some 20k for a few hours in the middle. I never had radions but my ghls let me dial in a K value.

IIRC radions have a nice acclimation program as well you can use when you add new corals. I would start with actinics at 30% and whites at 10% and ramp up to 50/30 over 2 weeks and see how it goes from there.

That said, I am no expert. I ran ghl leds for a year but that is the extent of my experience.

I heard you have to feed them raw and walk them twice a day. I'll stick to my halides. :D

If you have no corals in the tank yet, no need to start them off low. I also just got a radion in a trade and I am clueless, lol.
