Hello everyone. I just wanted to remind everyone about their most favorite fish, the Lionfish. My lion is one of my favorite fish I own, I've had one or another in my tanks for the last four years. As I was rearranging some zoas on a rock last night I slightly brushed a rock on the upper part of my crest. At least I thought it was a rock. There was Theodore, my fuzzy dwarf lion. As a precaution, I ran to the sink and started to run my arm under water. It was a good thing because the pain started shortly after. Luckily the sting was not too bad, but I've heard of people having worse reactions to a sting.
Before I get off topic, I just wanted to remind everyone that these fish do have venom, and that it does hurt. So, next time you reach into your tank take a quick peek to see where your Lion is hiding.
And, if you do get stung, run the area in warm, to hot water for around fifteen minutes to help relieve the pain.
Thanks for taking a peek
