More out of curiosity than anything else: Has anyone tested or know about ranch 99 (Chinese grocery store) salt water? Is it medicated? Can meant-for-consumption seafood be treated with copper? I bet the nutrient levels are high with all those big fish packed into their tanks.
This question came to my mind as I bought live Manila clams to feed my copperband, and then started worrying about transmitting parasitic infections.
Decided to freeze them at -4 F for a week to try to ensure everything is dead, since some have cautioned that pre-frozen clams can contain unwanted preservatives.
Just curious if anyone knows the answers to some of these questions. Would like some idea what I'm putting in my tank, even if it's trace amounts.
