Yes, the chiller plugs right into this controller.

The way a Ranco controller works is that it provides power based on the temperature of your tank. So if you connect the chiller to the controller it will turn on and off based on the programming you put on the controller.

You'll need to open up the chiller and the bypass the built in controller. Then simply plug the chiller into the Ranco controller.

Little further clarification... like how is it broken? If it's keeping the unit on all the time, then just plug and play. If it's off all the time, then yes, bypass it.

That is actually how I used this controller once before.
Unit would stay on all the time so I had to use the controller.
