My tank is a jbj nano cube aio but I tore the black panel out and added an overflow box for
Sump. I only have 3 loc line segments per head. Yeah the pumps something
Like 930gph and I'd say each head is putting out a bit
Under 400 gph after the reduction of flow from the rfg's. Plus a hydor 450 and two 550. But I also don't believe for a second these pump 400gph or even close. They're weak lol

400gph each (at least 800 gph) on your jbj nano? seems like a lot. it does not look like a washing machine with that much flow?
I got mine and played with it. I'd say I have 400gph total for both RFG and flow seems more than sufficient. I removed my two powerheads and will just go with the RFG for now. I made sure I did not move the RFG and moved the loc line segments instead when adjusting the RFG position.
Since these things work as eductor, it has to go way below the water surface, otherwise, it will start sucking in air. On a 24"x24" footprint tank,1" deeper means it drains back to the sump and additional 2.5 gallons. That is a lot for me since I do not have a big sump.
The flow seems to go in a circular pattern. Like 12 o'clock, 3, 6, then 9 o'clock. So it is not exactly random, but does have the semblance of randomness. Plus the eductor/venturi effect increases the flow.
I'd say these are perfect for closed loops. For return, make sure you have room in the sump to take the additional water coming down from DT when you turn off the return pump, as these need to go 1" or more deeper than where your return nozzle currently breaks siphon.
