I'm back from my first Reef Palooza experience and I had an incredible time. Just what I picked up in samples more than paid for the entrance and parking fees.
There were reps from all the major manufacturers and aquarium dealers. I had all my Apex questions answered and talked about the awesome changes coming down the pipeline and saw what other components I wanted to get. There were thousands of corrals at frag swap prices, not LFS prices ( no offense FB and SEA). There were corrals that were on my list that I never see around here. I picked up a tennis ball size garf bonsai for $45, a piece of Octospawn for $10, a very nice John Deere Leptastrea for $10 and several other small frags.
Wondering if anyone recognizes these guys
The line to take a picture with Wade and Brett was amazingly long, you'd think it was Disney land or something. I wanted to ask Francis from Fish Tank Kings if he really goes around calling fish by their scientific names or if that was just scripted.
I wish I could have stayed around for Sunday which is when they do all the big raffles, maybe next year.
