African blue hornets

African blue hornets

i have this 7" X 6"granite rock with well over 100 polyps of African blue hornets or blue steel. i seen them called both names and from what i understand they are pretty rare. i was going to frag this colony up a bit but i'm worried the granite maybe to hard to frag. i'm debating on if i want just want to sell the colony.

Blue Steel and Blue Hornets are different polyps. Blue Hornets also have an alternating skirt like the Purple Hornet. I believe the true blue hornets are just a scroll up this page.
Nice colony though. I have seen them a couple times in person and they are quite stunning.

They go for around 10-15/polyp nowadays. Ding Dangs are still pretty hard to find but there are a select few sites that might carry them.

wow, those are awesome.

As for rare zoos, maybe you guys here know what these are. I got a single polyp of these with a rock of watermelons. They are a nice purple center, with white sparkles and bone white rim. Now i have hundreds. Thanks.
