This is the only digital image I have of a Caribbean BF, Chaetodon aculeatus.
I will work on the rest if the thread survives !

Alright, I finally had time to re-scan some of my old slides, so here are some rare ones from Brazil:

Halichoeres brasiliensis
H_brasiliensis.jpg

Stegastes rocasensis
S_rocasensis.jpg

Muraena pavonina
M_pavonina.jpg

Thanks for the nomination! Here a couple more rare ones:

Cephalopholis taeniops:

And a really stunning fish, very unusual color, a wrasse, closely related to the Creole Wrasse. Clepticus africanus, his caudal fin filaments are amazing:

Isn't C taeniops from the African Atlantic coast? The more common C. miniata on the Pacific side but also as far a Fiji. Amazing.

i already voted :D

nice pics. now just need some of the others in the Gulf if you have any (madracis, porites porites, and favia fragum)

A couple more from West Africa. First, two corals (same species, I think) for Joe:

A nice moray, Muraena melanotis, this one doesn't grow much, I think the largest I saw was about 20in long:

Chaetodon robustus:

C. robustus. Luiz that is an amazing fish. You can pick out about six different species characteristics, Atlantic and Pacific, all hybridized into one.
