Sorry, no interrupt angels, the only dive when I saw one (Kure Atoll) I didn't have my camera with me :(

Here is an nice one for the nemo fans, Amphiprion fuscocaudatus, endemic to the Seychelles (where I photographed it) and Aldabra:

Anybody seen it in the market?

Luiz :

Sao Carlos was a little bit far for me now, but if next time you have any event in Sao Paulo, please contact will be pleasure to meet someone with such high level of background on fishes as you. Old times I was more envolved in biology in my undergrad times at USP, so many friends in Instituto Oceanográfico and Instituto de Pesca as well.
Now working on new field ...but marine fishes are my passion and you have some unique passion that is not that usual in cientific community as well !

How big was the gorgeous clown tang in that picture ?

I LOVE fuscocaudatus clowns. Especially their tails (although this onje doesnt really show it). However, I have never seen them in the trade, although there has to be some out there.

Thats my favorite clown! too bad that place is a marine reserve cause i would pay big bucks for that fish :)

Wow, beautiful clown. There are so many beautiful fish out there it's amazing.

BTW, what camera setup do you shoot with?

Heya, I shoot with a Nikon D2x in a Subal housing and Ikelite strobes... A HUGE setup! I also have a bunch of sorpionfish shots, will look for a nice (and not so common) one...

Here is another one, also from the Seychelles, Centropyge nox:
C_nox.jpg

I am assuming it is rare because I saw very few, but not sure how often it shows up in the market...

Luiz, sweet as always buddy! The above fish appears to be Centropyge multispinis, especially if that was in the Seychelles. They are commonly exported for the industry from Sri Lanka and other Indian Ocean points... And that reminds me... I remembered the question I meant to ask you over the phone... did you document Centropyge debelius while at Aldabra?

John

Hey John, yes, yes, it is C. multispinis, somehow I was with the name nox in my head and just put it down because the fish was black :) Such a cool name, the only better one that I can think of is narcosis.

No, I never saw C. debelius...
