it was fine an hour ago and then changed into this shape and then back to normal...is it expelling waste? how often will it do this in a week?
Mine does the same thing; every day an hour or two before lights off, it retracts completely into its foot. After 2-3 hours it will puff back up to the clowns' delight.

They don't have 'feet'.
Correct they have a foot
No, no they do not. They have a pedal disc.
Which is also called a 'foot', as apparent from the million times they've been used to refer to such appendages.

I should probably jump in since I first said "foot". While technically correct that the anemone has a pedal disk instead of a true foot, "foot" is a common term for the pedal disk and the inaccuracy is generally overlooked; just as I had originally overlooked the incorrect grammar of your statement in which you had typed 'feet' instead of "feet".
