RBTA is not doing well

Feed scallops today and they seemes to like them. They are the perfect size too, no cutting. Gave the skunk shrimp a half of one each, they must have destroyed them cuz I didn't see anything left.

What is the problem with table shrimp???

I don't think there is any problem with table shrimp as long as they're raw. I wrote that people on the site have cautioned against feeding silversides. I've never even seen them but imagine it's some type of fish, not shrimp.

You know, I really don't know. Seems folks have been using them for a while but have reported that lately they've seen declines in their nemmies. When the stop feeding silversides the nemmie recovers. Perhaps some type of bacteria or disease in the fish itself? Dunno. I just give my nemmies shrimp and scallops and I also have dried krill (the larger ones) that I soak and break in half (or thirds depending on size). They both love the krill, oh, and of course they love the scallops.

Yea, mine sure seem to like the scallops, hope they start to recover soon.

Update, RBTA still pale and seems to be shrinking. Feeding every other or third day. And now adding SELCON top each feeding.

Water par as of yesterday:

Cal 400
Nitrate 10
Nitrite 0
Phos .5
SG 1.023
Mag 1200

My SG has been going up and down but only by .001 at most a day. My skimmer started going crazy after starting to feed corals Roti Feast.

Could someone get some fresh eyes on this post and tell me what you think I could do to help my RBTA recover?

BTW I have traded my Cody away.

Good grief, leave them alone! Nobody is coming along and feeding these things in the wild. They manage to get everything they need from the water column. Sometimes nems go through cycles and expell their zooanthellae (sp). I have four RBTA's and two GBTA's in my tank, all come from splits. Every so often one or two will shrivel up and hide behind the rocks and after several weeks come out again looking good as new. Sure it's distressing the first time it happens, but believe me, they wil be just fine.

These are about as rudimetary a creature as you can keep in your tank. They are not as delicate as some would have you believe. Go to any tide pool. At low tide you will see hundreds of them exposed out of the water for hours on end. Somehow they manage to survive. As long as they are still stuck to the rocks and not floating around the tank, they will be fine.

Thank you, I think a new strategy is in order anyway.

This is what my aneome looks like today. 100% better. I havent feeder them in months. Just kept my lights on and my water clean and maintianed. They got better all on their own. Still no bubble tips though.

When do you think ill see bubble tips?

Sweet pic! Your rbta is looking really nice. I wouldn't worry about the tips bubbling up, there is no sure way to tell why some bta's bubble up and others don't.
