RBTA Question

So I picked up a RBTA about a week ago and everything was fine. Today though it has spent most of the day at only a fraction of its original size. It moved to a part of the tank with lower flow and looks like waste came out of its mouth. The mouth is fairly tight though. Is this just the natural expelling process?

Also worth mentioning is that my two clowns have been out of it much of the day. When I got the anemone, they were hosting within hours of its introduction.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. This is actually my second anemone. The other was also a RBTA but when it expelled it lasted hours, not a whole day. I was just wondering if this was normal. Thanks though. From the information I read it seems like it is normal for i to last a while.

Some anemones do that more often then others, but as long as it is only once in a while, it isn't a big concern.

I would be a little concerned with it moving and doing that, but since you have only had it a week, I wouldn't worry too much. Just keep an eye on it.

Once in a while my Haddonis will completely disappear -- to the point if you didn't know better you would think that there wasn't one in the tank.
