RBTA split a while ago and they never recovered . This was a beautiful anemone. This was one of the largest I ever seen. The only change I had was more flow. They eat but the tentacles do not inflat.

Are you asking for help? Do you have a pic? Are you trying to say it died and are looking for a reason? How big was it? Sorry, not sure what you're asking or what the point is.

If the tentacles are just staying long and 'stringy' as opposed to bubbling up...some people here might suggest that your nem is actually more content now. Some people's experiences suggest that the tentacles are only inflated or bubbled when they're stressed.

Unless the person is just referring to the tentacles not bubbling up anymore...people have differing opinions on what that signifies.

And if they're eating, they've recovered at the very least enough to have reformed the mouth, so they're probably not dead.

What I was saying was it was at least 14" inches it was the center piece of my 180. Then it split now they are a size of a half dollar, This was a dark maroon color. Now thay are light pink and do not extend like they used too. They water is just chemestry is fine. What could it be.

Ahhh...I see...totally different from what I was thinking. Has your lighting changed in any way? Old bulbs shift spectrum or something?

Hmm...maybe they're acclimating themselves to the brighter (presumably brighter, anyway) lighting...maybe if you cut down on the hours that you have the MH on for a few days to see what happens?

I'm out of ideas...could be a lot of things causing stress, I guess. Hopefully someone else has some ideas.

You have had the lights for over a month now, did your BTA start loosing color after the light change? If a BTA bleaches it could take longer than a month to regain it's color. Some have used food soaked in selcon to help a BTA recover from this. I've never had to try it. How often are you feeding it?

I feed them twice a week. But one is hiding now so it hard to get to him. They look like thay are eating okay.
