rbta + sps = friendly??

My rbta decided to wander a few weeks ago. At first, I kept moving all sps out of its reach but then it walked up next to a large monti cap that's very encrusted onto a huge rock that's the base of the rock structure. Since I couldn't move it, I thought I'd just keep a close eye on it and if the rbta didn't keep moving, I'd do something.

Well, the rbta has stayed there ever since. The monti cap looks perfectly fine: no recession or color loss at all. The rbta is nestled up UNDER the shelf of the montipora, the tentacles reach up and over the shelf, brushing across the montipora with the current. Monti is still growing, looks absolutely fine.

Any other time a bta has touched a sps, it's killed what it's touched immediately. Anybody know what's going on??

My RBTA killed the edge of my green monti cap (it's still growing, just not towards the RBTA anymore).

I've never heard of that happening...
