rbta VS torch?

I impulsively got a torch coral last week. I thought it was in a safe spot, away from rbta, but, oc, last night the nem made a run for it. Now the rbta is almost touching torch.

I've read that torches & btas can go head 2 head, bc both sting, but torch is new.

Excuse bad pic, maroon is all worked up ("˜cause nem moved?) and I can't even get close for pic, she charges so hard.

rbta VS torch?

Thx[emoji4]

But isn't that just temp solution? If the torch gets larger, will it be able to "˜handle' the rbta?

That's what they do, torch's put out long sweepers and have a good sting compared to other euphyllia, why I don't keep torch even though I think they are pretty.

You could try carbon, but my choice would be a nem over a torch and I'd choose one or the other in a small tank.

A torch can bother many corals

I would move the torch....I have both in my tank....the nem will eventually win that battle in my experience.....

Thx everyone - I have decided to move the torch, but the nem has moved back down the rock a few inches. I don't think the nem is totally settled yet, so I want to make sure it's happy (for the time being, I know it could move house again) before I uproot the torch. Bc my tank is a 150t, there are only so many spots high enough for torch, so that complicates things.

BUT! I bow to the thread knowledge, and the torch will be relocated. :)

Ugh! Due to Circumstances Beyond My Control, haven't been able to move torch yet, surprise: torch is losing war, although it's fighting a mighty battle. Not sure when I can fix this, bc CBMC. sigh

The nem's "˜wandering phase' has, oc, stopped, and it's settled practically *on top* of torch. Excellent and NOT CHEAP torch specimen, naturally + I don't enjoy watching even the teeniest frag die.

Wish me luck, y'all, since bc CBMC torch isn't even #1 on my "˜must do NOW' list. Sometimes life just sux. *frown emoji*
