Who knows the easiest way to get them off of rocks?

I've got 4 now.........I haven't really cared much since they've all gone to parts of the tank that don't bother anything. They're starting to grow rather large (in comparison to a 30 gallon tank, they're all about 4 inches in diameter)

If I can get 2 off them out I'll sell them.

You might try pointing a powerhead at them and see if they'll let loose when they try to move.

I've read that getting something like a dental pick under the foot and gently lifting will do it too.

Take a powerhead and aim it at the foot. They should let go in a minute or so. If that doesn't work you can pry them off with a credit card or some similar item.

the powerhead theory never worked for me. i'll try the ice cube trick.

capn - i've used the pick technique before and it worked twice and the third time I pulled too hard and ripped it in half. then I had another one to get out! yes they both lived somehow

I just took my finger and slowly stared working on one edge where was attached. It will eventually start to come lose. Then just work your way around. Go slow and it will release.

I would love to buy one when you get if off.
Let me know on price. I have a 90 gal, so Ill take the bigger of the two.
Ill be back in Stl over thanksgiving. I could pick it up a the sunday after.

PM me.

Alright, if I can get two loose I'll sell you the second one. pewter_jean asked me first. I'm sure I can get one. I may be able to get the second one.

did you get it off?

When moving the tanks mine jumped from the rock to the glass. I had a power head almost blowing him side ways for over 30 mins, and he would not budge. Tried Ice that didn't work either. Credit card he slid right off. It worked good on glass but I'm not sure if it would work on a rock.

Try suking it off with your mouth but I allwayed use Ice and never had a problem. Take the rock out of the water before you suck or use ice. you might drown if you don't take your head out of the water trying to suck it off. :D

I haven't tried to get them off of there yet. The only problem is, if I get him off of the rock now then I have no where to put it. I need to set up dates for people to buy them and then take them off of there that morning or the night before. Maybe I could put one in the 2.5 gallon. :D
