Rcypert's fish breeding thread

This is my first batch of bangaii's in while. We just moved. They were born yesterday. I have been a bit lackadaisical in my attempts to raise them. But this batch is going to be raised to maturity and hopefully traded for other fish that can be home bred. I have a 58 gallon tank setup. The only thing in it right now is the breeding pair, a small pile of live rock, and the breeder net cage thing with the babies. The last batch got eaten all but one. He is now in my 120 display with another wild banagii in hopes they will pair.

The babies develop in around 28 days. The dad releases them over three night after lights out. Its incredible, no food for 28 days.

Congratulations! The frozen food/plankton try worked--my F1 pair are on their second batch of eggs now--but I didn't have a huge percentage survive. I think most of my problem was mama/papa munching on the youngsters though. Looks like you have ... about 25? Nice big batch!

So my fish are about 40 days old now and eating frozen food like little piggies. I think its time to find them a new home. Does anyone have an idea of current market prices wholesale and retail for bangaii's?
