Hey all,
I got board Saturday so decided to rearrange the tank. I added about 30lb of rock and three new corals. Im super stoked with the way it came out and am pretty sure the fish like it too. :D I also adjusted my overflow so the tank is dead silent now. (Man was that a task:rolleyes: ) Anyways I thought Id post some pics.

I like it. Do you have tank info and pics of your setup to share with us?
I always like to see pics of sumps, skimmers, and return setups.
But I do like very nice.

Sure.
This is my first saltwater tank. Its 112 gallons 48x18x30 with a 30(?) gallon sump. I run a My Reef Creations Skimmer, 50mg Red Sea Ozone unit, and for lighting I have an Aqualight Pro, 2x150W HQI MH Lamp + 2x96W PC. I also have an Arctica Chiller.

This is a pick of my RO/DI unit (along with the rest of my crap) in my warehouse.

Wow! Thats the cleanest sump I have ever seen...

LOL Thanks. There are lots of clean setups on RC (and lots of getto ones too:D )
My tank wouldnt be half as nice if I didnt spend most of my day on RC. hahaha It looks a hundred times better in person.

ohoh, I don't see any ball valves or unions for the return pump either. Real story, we had quite a bit of black outs hre in Bakersfield last year and I got a call from my wife 2:45am while I'm at work saying the tank is making a funny sounds and there're bubbles everywhere. What had happened was the power went out, when it came back on, the closed loop pump came on, but the return never did because of lack of maintenence and it had lots of build up. Luckily I just replumbed a few months ago to get the closed loop and installed a bigger durso and ball valves and union so after an hour, everything was working. So better do it now if you don't have a way to service the main return pump.

Back on topic, I love the shelves you've made. Where did you get the large shelf pieces of LR???

How do you get the return pump out for servicing?

Im not sure about what to service  But if I need to take the pump out I could just close the ball valve, drain the sump, and the pump has some unions on the inlet and return part.
It would be cake to take out.

Very NICE setup. I like the pics and info.
Really a nice job on everything.
Thanks for the info on your tank and setup.

Im not sure about what to service.

Sorry, I didn't notice any unions to allow the pump to be accessible for service. But pumps usually need cleaned out, especially the impeller due to calcuim buildup, etc., every three to six months for optimal performance.
