Re-drilling

Has anyone ever drilled bigger holes in the backs of their tanks for larger bulkheads? Currently running 1/2" pipe and that's not enough, I need to go to 3/4"

Sure. What I did is just lay the tank on it's side and drill as I usually do. Just have somebody there with a hose going so that you can keep the hole in a puddle. It's a bit messy, but it works great.

I always use a few pieces of duct tape on the inside so the blank doesn't fall. That will also help to keep the water where it belongs.

Thanks.

What drill bit do you recommend for this? Diamond hole saw possibly?

Cheers,

If its glass you ABSOLUTELY need a diamond hole saw.. (Amazon/Ebay/BulkReefSupply)
If its acrylic you DO NOT want one and a bimetal/wood one commonly available at a hardware store will work just fine
