RE: Losing SPS - Help!
I need some advice because my sps are starting to rtn.
My 120 gallon tank's been up and running for a little over a year and my sps were flourishing. Then a couple of weeks ago, i lost a couple of frags and small colonies. It got to the point where I was losing at least one every couple of days.
I had my water professionally tested (like 15 different tests) and while some things tested higher or lower than normal, there was not a single smoking gun, and that includes alkinility, calcium, magnesium, , natrates, temperature and salinity.
I bought a different brand of salt and proceeded to do a 50% water change and that seemed to correct the problem for about a week. But now it's started again. I've lost three more sps in the last three days.
A couple of other things...
- I know it's not my lighting because I just switched out my 20k radiums (I did this after the problem first started, so I know it's not the cause)
- I also just recently bought a grounding plug in case there was an electrical current.
Any suggestions? I'm prepared to do another water change but that didn't help the first time. I'm absolutely at wits end!
