Thanks, I'm not sure which to use, a 1250 or 1048. I don't plan on running any calcium media in mine and don't want it to fluidize as I can't see in mine.<a href=showthread.php?s=&postid=12011547#post12011547 target=_blank>Originally posted</a> by reefrubble

I glued a short piece of union to the 3/4" PVC pipe, to make it have more surface for the weld-on 40 to hold it to the tube. If you glue the PVC to the acrylic tube you have to be REAL CARFULL not to bang it or it may crack. I like the uniseals but they cost money. Steve, what did you use to connect the pvc to the acrylic, looks like part of a union connected to the elbow. Did you also glue the fitting to the acrylic & what glue are you using ?
Adnup, I like the uniseals but I am leary of them leaking.
Never used them before so I do not know. any advice you can offer on them ?
