reactor tunning in ?

I've had my reactor for about a month and a half an all is well this am my ca was about 375 -alk 4 meq/l (dkh between 7-11 i presume)
Effluent at 30ml
BPM at 30
Over the last 3 wks my load continues to increase(clams x 2 multiple frags and colonies) and find myself dosing a lilbit of calcium here and there
This morning increased both my rate and BPM
Changes- BPM 50
Ml x min effluent 50, do u think this will take care of my issues, they r minor but still issues.:rollface:

Your calcium reactor will most likely take you many months to get a good grip on. Only time will tell if you have your settings right.

Gasman, is your effluent at 50mL/min or 50 drops per minute? Just curious, as you have confused these units in the past. :)

Are you running this set up with a controller still? if so, don't worry about the bpm keep it at approx 50 bpm but it is not crucial that you check for this.
50ml/m effluent rate is probably a good start let it run like that for a few days and check the alkalinity again don't bother to check the calcium yet.
let me know

I got the Mag Flake in a club buy about 6 months back. I would suggest putting the idaho grape in the middle to top of the tank for best color.

ty chris, I satrted the grape low to mid and will be moving up in acouple of weeks. U think it can handle my 3 400mhs.

What alkalinity test kit are you using? It would be very helpful to have three sig figs (4.00) in your alk. measurement.

great stuff man i hope i can make the swap so i can meet u guys anyways thanks a lot for all ur help. We r all always looking for aswers .
