Rebel xti

Cosco probably. They're all going to be within a few dollars of each other. Avoid places that look too cheap until you gotten back with us for a reference. There are some shady dealers out there. Amazon, Adorama, and B&H are good places to look.

BestPriceCameras and all the other names it goes by are criminal bait and switch con men. They are being investigated by the New York Attorney General. It is so fortunate you asked first.

Roxy, have you ever shot your tank with the Rebel xti? I have one and would love to see anyone's photos who has used that camera.

I use 35mm cameras all the time but just haven't gotten into the digitals. I am a student on a budget so I was praying that site was legit. All well I will just have to find a used one some where.

A buddy of mine has the Canon Rebel XTi and he took some sweet pictures of my tank, he also has the Canon macro lense:

actually, i have the sigma 150mm.......but if you have a shallow tank, the cannon 100mm is a more practical lens to get, its allot less expensive, less heavy, more transportable.....and takes great pictures! ;)

Before buying from one of those great price stores do a few online searches on them...I used epinions and better business bureau before I bought my XTi. This goes for ebay "businesses" as well. I ended up getting mine from www.digitalfotoclub.com .
I had no problems at all and it was quick and easy. I did talk to one person that had problems with them after my purchase tho. Like mentioned check costco, sams club, and I even saw that I think it was Dell.com had the XTi on sale very cheap a while back. I'm still learning but its a cool camera!!!

i need an all around lens for about 800 bucks some where in the 70-200mm range for my xti any suggestions.

what r u going to be takin pics of? that lense has a bit of a zoom.....if you're talking just something to leave on the camera look at 24-80 or something along those lines...i bought a 70-300 but find myself using the 18-55 kit lens more often that that...really think about what ur needs are...especially before droppin $800...

I recently bought a used Canon 28-70 2.8L for $800. I hardly ever take it off my camera. The pictures are very sharp.

If I had the cash, I would also get a wider lense.

that will probably be my next lens, something to replace this crappy kit lens i have. but man, at $800 thats more than the L-glass telephoto lens i got.....ouch.

what lens do you have your eye on that is wider?

A received my Rebel XTi in the mail today :D I know absolutely nothing about photography so I'm pretty psyched and looking forward to learning more about it. Here is a picture of my Veiled chameleon I took using the Autofocus function on my camera straight out of the box:
