recommendation needed

Hi again, Roger & co.
I need your recommendation once again.
I have two penductors returning water to my 72" long 225 gallon aquarium @ aprox. 1,100 GPH from one end of my aquarium.
Right now I'm driving a battery of six MJ1200's into these two returns in an on and off fashion with a wavemaker.
I'd like your suggestion as to what Tunze Streams I would use to replace the MJ's.
I want to retain the on/off opposing surge action as well as be able to push the water flow back to the other side of the aquarium. (I haven't been able to do this with my MJ's since adding the penductors to my returns.)
This pic should give you a good idea what I want to accomplish.
I want the gigantea anemone on the bottom right to receive occasional surges of water current.

"Dual 6100s on a multicontroller"... Ill bet a hydrofoamer pump on it, lol. Heck, if it were me, I think I would do dual 6200s.

Actaully I might do two 6000's, they won't reach the other side but the tank looks nice and 2 6100'2 is a huge jump from 6 MJ 1200's and it may stress/ injur some of the corals. None of those corals are mega high flow corals.

I politely disagree. He can always restrict the 6100s and acclimate over time, but he cant ramp up the 6000s any more than they make (okay, sure, you can then sell him the transformers...lol). As I look at the corals, I dont see anything that wouldnt like alot of flow... perhaps that cluster of what looks like candy cane at the right, but thats it. All those SPS at the top of the rock, the stags, and the caps... they would all love it (who knows, maybe even grow faster). I would soooo not consider the 6 MJ1200s to be enough for a tank that size, even if it was all rics and shrooms. What corals in that pic dont like high-flow?

There are penductors on the returns as well that are outdoing the MJs as far as wavemaking goes, so if streams are going to compete with that... it seems larger would be better. Depending on the size of the pump feeding those penductors, the 6x1200s might only be a drop in the bucket for what he has for flow, and if he wants the wavemaking back... the 6000s may not be enough to overcome them.

I do have a quick Q though... not to hijack too much. What do you think of a 300+g... 7'x3'x2'h. Will dual 6100s be enough? A buddy currently has two 6100s from his 120g, and is upgrading to this... and wonders what to do. I said to add a single 6200 and go from there, that a third 6100 might not cut it (SPS at the top, clams and LPS at the bottom), and since two 6100s cost much more than one 6200... once 6200 is just that much more of a likelyhood to work with just one more pump. WAtchathink?

The problem with a single pump is that the flow direction never alternates and detritus accumulates on the far end. The net cost of a 6000 and transformer is identical to just buying a 6100 so if I am wrong Gary loses nothing except maybe a few dollars in shipping expense. In your case I would advise 2 6100's or 2 6200's. It really depends on the LPS, if you plan on hammers and frogspawns and the like they need an area with less flow so the 6100's would be better in that case.

Can the multicontroller 7095 be used to control different size/model (electronically controllable) Turbelles (say two 6000 and two 6100's) or must all four pumps be identical models?
