Clownfish are protecting their domicile. The main difference is there lack of jaw strength and the bones in their mouth. I am not saying that Triggers WILL attack his clams. I am saying that most breeds have been known to. Which even one time is still to many times for me. I have never, EVER, EVER seen an ocellaris percula ever go anywhere near a clam. That being said, you could get a mated pair of two stripe clownish, black onyx clowns or white clowns. They are interesting looking. Will also host different corals that are on the hardy side of the line so you don't have to worry about an anemone. Which is a thought
