recordea mounting

I received 3 recordea a month ago from a supplier that are growing great but I can't get them to stay still and attach to substrates. One seems to 'behave' but the other are moving around. I thought it was the water flow and am trying to find a place with no water movement. Towday I put them on seperate substrates but they have moved off the flat stones. Should I cut a plastic water bottle to build a 'fence around each recordea? I understand they should be attacked to a substrate and not be left on sand.Is that right?

I was having the same problem, so the tips are great
Usually they have a little bit of stuff under them and i have just been using gel super glue and letting them fix themselves
so thanks for the step by step directions - they are great

Trying to super glue them against their will may sometimes cause them to just slime themselves off.

I took a piece of 2" pvc, about 1.5" tall, set a small rock in there and the ricordia ontop of it. I then used some vail to cover the entire thing, and after about 2 weeks he was firmly attached. The wedding vail keeps the specimen from flying out.

After it was attached, I just glued the piece of rock to my main formation and it look natural.

I have fragged quite a few in my time :)
