Red alert; need advice please

I got home from work today and noticed my 34 gal was cloudy; upon further inspection I noticed all of my corals looked bleached and I found the plug from my Sun Pod LED lights hanging in the water. I removed the power cord and did a quick 10 gal water change and my skimmer is working overtime. Is there anything else I can do or will I most likely lose all of my corals?

BTW, it is not RTN and I can still see polyps on most of the corals.

Any feedback is welcome and appreciated.

Also should I pull my fish out?

I would drain the tank down low enough to allow just enough water for the fish and refill it with new water ( matched) and add fresh carbon as well as Polyfilter and Cuprisorb.

That's why I said "matched." I'd want the temp, spec. grav, and pH as close as possible and the mix clear with such a large change. The pH may be low in freshly mixed salt depending on the brand.

I can meet you at the store and give you some mixed water if that'll help.

I have water made up that I mixed this morning. You're welcome to what you need. Let me know.

I'll pm you my phone number.

I know that really stinks, Let us all know how things recover and what you did to try and save things.

I do know how you feel as I had my frag tank "FRY" when a heater broke and "flamed" everything. I wish you luck!!!

Well the water is good and clear and it looks like nothing else is going to dye; unfortunately I lost all but three of my SPS corals. Of course I lost all of my favorites, including the beautiful purple monti I got from Barrett and My blue tort I got from Fishdoc in Knoxville.

On a positive note; all fish, all softies, and most inverts survived just fine.

I did an initial 50% water change right away and a second 95% water change the next morning, added fresh carbon, and cleaned the skimmer tube three times a day, and it still took two full days to clear all of the slime.

Sorry to hear about your losses. Sounds like everything is back on track though, so good luck going forward.

I've got a mounted/healed piece of Barrett's purple monti that I will give you, just PM me. I hate to hear stuff like this, I'm SURE THERE ARE OTHERS AROUND WHO WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP YOU RESTOCK, RIGHT FOLKS:D ?

Wow. Frag guilt.

Robert, if you venture down this-a-way, I'm sure I could make a frogspawn, paly or Mushroom rock Donation.

So your tank got electrocuted? Sux.
