Anyone have a red bubble tip turn bright pink. I have one its been on the move a few times and has been under the bottom side of a rock for about 1 week and it came back out it was bright pink. Its been up on top for about a month and has not changed back to its normal color. Still bright pink. Eats and everything. Can they color morph and stay a certain color? Or will it change back to red. Either way its cool. If anyone has experienced this let me know what happend to yours. Thanks Tommy

I had that happen to me when I first started keeping BTA's. The bright pink is due to a lack of zooxanthellae which makes it red. Basically the anemone has bleached. It needs to get back to that deep red color for it to have the right amount of zooxanthellae to create the necessary amounts of sugar it needs to survive healthily. It will turn back to red over time if it gets proper light and plenty of food.

Its under an 8 bulb nova extreme t5 fixture with 432 watts of t-5 i have 2 others next to it that are red hes the only one pink. Maybe 1 week with no lights and feeding made it do this. I have about 20 of them first one i seen do this one. Maybe its special lol :)

Yeah being starved from light for a week with no food can cause it to bleach. There are also some microscopic diatoms that attack zooxanthellae which may create a natural selection of only a few types of zooxanthellae. But you'd have to have an electron microscope to know that for sure. Just keep in the strong light and feed it often till it gets better
