would it normally take that long ? i would of thought myself that the clowns would have hosted this nem by now how long do you think i should wait the poor clowns look lost id hate to see my six line turn on them:furious::furious: picasso clowns dont come cheap in ireland.

Because a BTA isn't a natural host, it could be quickly, slowly or never. Natural host vs. surrogate makes a huge difference, from my observations. Percs and ocellaris will go immediately to H. magnifica, but it's taken my ocellaris a while, I can't remember exactly how long, to go to a RBTA.

I've had little problem getting percs to host BTAs but there were about 150 percs and ocellaris clowns in the tank at the time. They tend to notice when other clowns host something and they are jealous creatures. I have used a tiny clarkii to get pairs to host in the past. It works well.

I would be more concerned about the clowns killing the six line. Just keep an eye out for fin nips.
