Red Bug alert from H@rry

I have some that are already measured out for 1 to 2 gallon dip (0.014 g). If you use it in 1 gallon, it is approximately 5 times the dose Dustin recommends. This strength works well and does not seem to cause any harm to corals. We can do a trade or I can sell them to you.

Tomoko how did you go about measuring out 0.014 g. With 5 Dogs we have tons of Interceptor lol not to mention pretty well known at our vets office  I wouldn't mind having some ready to go for dipping new Acros if needed.

I used a high precision electronic balance in the lab at my work (goes down to 1/10000 g). I can measure it for you any time. If you are willing to sell a large dog interceptor tablet to the club at cost, I can help you grind it and portion it out to small packets. This way everyone who gets acro can dip them prophylactically any time.

I trying to decide how to estimate how much actual water I have in my tanks after you add the sump, skimmer, and calcium reactor and subtract the rock and sand. For those of you who saw my tanks Saturday, how much actual water do you think would be in the 190 and 225? If I do decide to nuke them, I'll need to know that.

8Ball, are you saying that if I decide to do that you can point me in the direction of a vet who will sell it to me?

Tomoko, That would be great I'll give you two tablets. One for the club and one for me. If you would measure them out to 1-2 gallon dips that would be great. As far as the club I don't mind just donating a Tablet.

H@rry, If you want I can call and check on getting you a Box.

Okie dokie. If you can get the tablets to me, I will take care of it. Can you drop them off at John's this weekend?

I'm thinking I got the bugs too. I got a monti frag from the swap, but did not notice any problems until recently, when I traded some frags with a local reefer who also bought several frags at the july swap.

Do these bugs affect digis, millis or monti's?

If your monti is affected, it's not red bugs. It's most probably the monti eating nudibranch. Are they very tny and white?
