Red Carpet Anemone tip

For those of you who wish to acquire a red carpet anemone..there is a nice one hiding in the scoly WYSIWYG section at Vivid Aquariums. :rollface:

The anemone isn't happy in the photo. They don't have it under enough light, IMHO. I'd ask for an updated pic before I spent that kind of money on an anemone. I wonder how long they've had it.

I dont know how you guys can buy live stuff online ! so much risk, so much can be hidden on photos ...

I guess you gotta stick to reputable ones ...

an anemone, is something I wouldnt even look at, unless I can touch it before I buy it. [check to see if it stings]

I only buy from reputable dealers that I have had experience with. I've ordered stuff from Vivid and it came in great condition and looked just like the photo represented. I'd bought from Liveaquaria as well with confidence, although I had a clam one time that looked NOTHING like the photo. They gave me a credit for it though so no harm no foul.

Im just not used to buying online ! I spend hours in the LFS looking at an animal before buying it, BUT this brings my selection down to what ever LFS around have ... .

I live in the middle of nowhere. There is only one reef shop in the state and it is 2 hours away. Online is the only option. live aquaria gives a 14 guarantee so i trust them.

Hmmm, wonder why its with the Scolys... Vivid apparently has a 15 day guarantee, though all species of Carpets do not qualify...

*** I had one which tried to eat my seahare. I have to mention the seahare was as big as a fist... So not a peaceful creature of the sea.. But it is sure pretty hehe
