I think Dr Foster is a top business organization. They have professionals are very good at ID animals.
But, I am convinced that it is NOT a Haddoni, but a Gigantea.

I have to ask what makes you think that its a gigantea and not a hadoni? I would have never guessed that its a gigantea.

From mine personal observation, Haddoni (any color)typically has brow/tan, green base on its oral disc tissue(at the base of the tentacles). In wild and in captive, I have not seen a haddoni with blue/purple oral disc tissue. I only have seen it in gigantea. I believe I have seen no less than 50 exotic giganteas and Haddoni. The exotic color variances(red, pink, orange) in giganteas have different colors of verrucaes.

Just mine observation, no more than that:)

GSM, how are you? They do look alike, for the most part. Just mine personal observation.

I had three of them once and never had good luck with them. Very nice color and pricy too.

I thought tentacle length was another way to id carpets? From that picture the tentacles are short and ball like, like a Haddoni. That was my guess when i first saw it. But i am new to carpets so don't go by my thinking. Yet ;)

Hihi I have one taht looks exactly like the photo in my tank taht I bgt 2 weeks ago & it was sold as a gigantea but i oso thght of it as a haddoni. USD 700 ! And I thgt I overpaid for it.
