I think Dr Foster is a top business organization. They have professionals are very good at ID animals.
But, I am convinced that it is NOT a Haddoni, but a Gigantea.

I have to ask what makes you think that its a gigantea and not a hadoni? I would have never guessed that its a gigantea.

From mine personal observation, Haddoni (any color)typically has brow/tan, green base on its oral disc tissue(at the base of the tentacles). In wild and in captive, I have not seen a haddoni with blue/purple oral disc tissue. I only have seen it in gigantea. I believe I have seen no less than 50 exotic giganteas and Haddoni. The exotic color variances(red, pink, orange) in giganteas have different colors of verrucaes.

Just mine observation, no more than that

GSM, how are you? They do look alike, for the most part. Just mine personal observation.

I thought tentacle length was another way to id carpets? From that picture the tentacles are short and ball like, like a Haddoni. That was my guess when i first saw it. But i am new to carpets so don't go by my thinking. Yet

Hihi I have one taht looks exactly like the photo in my tank taht I bgt 2 weeks ago & it was sold as a gigantea but i oso thght of it as a haddoni. USD 700 ! And I thgt I overpaid for it.
