Red Carpet Qs

I started out with 4 small S. tapetum of this morph (green centers) I purchased from a local LFS about 4 months ago and have since given a few away to friends. At last count; I currently have 7 that I know of in my display. They do seem to get around in my display. I spot feed now and then and it's amazing the physical size of things they can consume (from cyclopeze to mysis, to chopped up shrimp and scallops) for such a small anemone. Pictures are taken with a mobile phone camera.

Thanks for the compliment. It is a Red Hadonni I acquired it a little over two weeks ago. It's taken me forever to track one down from my LFS and wholesalers. When there was availability; it was either not healthy, exceptionally expensive, or I was too late at it was snapped up. This one is about 14 inches in diameter when it is fully open. It is super sticky with a nice thick stalk and tight oral disc.

Haddoni tentacles on the outside is the same as the other tentacles.

I know this is an old thread, but just correcting this comment.

S. haddoni DOES in fact, have longer exocoelic tentacles. They are bulbous and are not pointed. S. gigantea does NOT have longer exocoelic tentacles.

LOL every now and then I do an Internet search for "red carpet" or "S. gigantea" just to see what comes up. Sometimes it leads me right back here to this site :)
