Red Dragon Acro

Hi guys, just picked up a sweet red dragon acro, I have read that they like low light and low flow is this right? Just double checking. I have two Vortec MP40's (only on level 1) and a Reef Breeder LED light on a 60 gallon tank. Right now the lights are set at a max of 28%.

I don't want to bleach it so I was thinking of placing it on the sand under the center glass divider, do you think that will be ok? I am drip accumulating it right now.

Thanks!

Low light is relatively speaking for acros. The sand bed could possibly be too little but a good start until you move it up. As for flow I forget what it likes.

I have mine at the highest point in high flow with a PAR of 600. Took a little while to settle in, now it's growing like a weed. Under a DIY CREE LED light system. UV's, blues, Royal Blues, whites, greens and Reds.

The more light it has, the more pink it gets, and the more flow it has, the more dense it grows.

Put it up high.

good to know, the piece I got at the auction is top middle back with pretty good flow. looks great

Kita, I keep mine up in the top 1/3rd of my tank under relatively bright light and good flow. It grows pretty quick after settling in. JP
