The is a Original Red Dragon with lineage out there. But many reefers think you can put that name on any brown to redish think branching Acro. The real Red Dragon is a deepwater species, possible A. russelli.
The 1st thing to notice on RD is that it does not grow much of a base. I had privalage to see the 1st colony to cross into US straight from Jay's hand (my RD came from that colony via RR..Tomaz..Werdlone..me) as well as Werdlone's colony the size of a soccer ball sitting on 3/4" stalk and 1" base!!
Secondly, the branches are soooo thin and delicate that I never fragged mine..my tang did. He would swim by smack w/ his tail and wah lah another frag.
I personally love the white micro polyps.
