Red Haddoni Carpet question

My Red hadonni's colour has faded over 3 months ago when I got him.. He eats well and appears healthy but 1 week after I got him he travelled from the bottom of the 150 gallon tank to the top right near a return pipe and closer to the metal halide lighting....
He is also AWAY from the actinic lighting that is towards the front of the tank.....


Anything I can do to colour him back up>????
