Red Haddoni on Live Aquaria

It's probably still there because, while it is red, it's not RED like some others. It does seem to have lost some zooxanthellae, so maybe the red will become more intense once the anemone recovers, and is placed under some good strong lighting??????? I'd like to have it, but I can't justify spending $800 on it.

i dont think anyone should buy it, just for the fact the one right before this..was rather much larger, and better red, and its the same price, this one is not as intense red as elegance said, and much smallller... thats just my personal opinion.. on a side note, i love LA.. and have nothing against them.. :P

Trust me, it's not the economy. It's just the fact that it's bad timing, price, and the anemone.
They recently got a couple of red haddoni and I'm starting to see it available more often now. Most of the people who really want one and don't care about the price already got one.

ibluewater seems to have a more steady supply of these guys anyway, so I'm sure with these things priced as they are the people who are willing to pay for them have generally done so through ibw already.

I don't really like its color. The red is a kind of dull. If it is a bright red, then it will go fast.

I don't think there's anything wrong with the color. It just that the photo is a bad photo of it under crappy lighting.
I would prefer to see anemone taken like this without any lighting gimmick or superly saturated.

i think the issue with the color on this haddoni that everyone is having.. is perhaps it was taken with a flash?.. i could be entirely wrong..
that could be the reason the red doesnt appear as deep as it really probably is.. i think its a gorgeous looking nem dont get me wrong :P

and i think thats wrong.. my opinion of course. i think size...and color should play a factor... to price.

I wasn't saying that it was right just that ever since I started looking at the DD email almost every one was that price. I believe the first one that cought my attention was a 10" Red one for $799. Then like two weeks later another one came up and it was like 16" and it was $799. Personally I would be upset if I got the first one then two weeks later a significantly bigger one came up for the same price.

+1

... but.. would you like to pay 800 for a 8'' one, when you could got one that was 16'' ? ...

Yes, I absolutely would! For one thing, small anemone is easier to acclimate. And it's also easy to transport. Have you ever tried to handle a 16" carpet? If you're not careful, it will end up on the floor.
If you have a 6" anemone, it can grow to 16" in approximately a year. If you have a 16" anemone, I doubt it will grow to 26" in a year. Watching it grow is half the fun and reward.

i completely agree with you.. on watching stuff grow is half the fun and reward, you cant take pride in buying at 20'' haddoni.. and saying LOOK my haddoni ohh ahh.. but on the other hand, you can take pride in a haddoni you bought that was 7'' and down the road its 24'' .. alot more pride comes from it.. and i know in this hobby, its all about if its worth it to you, then go for it.. :) as long as someone buys it and is happy with it.. then thats all that really matters :)
