red knob on 6105 connecting cable

Hi, I just bought a 6105. Whats the little red knob for on the connecting cable?

It is a speed adjustment, it is only to be used when no controller is used, when you use a controller it must be left at full power.

Thanks for getting back to me. Is full power clockwise?

They ship at full power, if you did not turn it it will be full power, turning direction depends on orientation so it is best to check by feel. The manual does have a page detailing this and it does show clockwise for the orientation shown.
