red Macroalgae ID needed

I received this macroalgae from another reefkeeper in the URS about a year ago and placed it in my lit sump/refugium. I just discovered some of it growing upstairs {in my main viewing aquarium} on top of a powerhead! What is it?

Are all Dictyota species members of Phaeophyta {brown algae}? I thought this algae would be a member of Rhodophyta {red algae}....

i'm not kidding. even though they are Phaeophyta that doesn't mean they're all brown. maybe it's a really reddish brown... HAHA
check these out:

Dictyota dichotoma
Dictyota volubilis
too badd these guys grow like weeds.

Thanks for those links, MarLooney. The appearance of the Dictyota in the links you've provided sure is very similar to mine. I wonder why they don't show a red species on algaebase?
