I had about 30 mushrooms on one rock and one of the large ones mouth or center started protruding and didnt look good and with in two days there is not a mushroom left on the rock tehy look like they just melted away any ideas what happen?

My bet is that they were Yumas, its all to common for them to die in tanks. I have boycotted buying any yuma, i have had roughly 50 yuma from 5 different sources die on me, they simply dont adjust to tank life.

What kind of mushroom and what is your lighting scheme?

thats odd, all my yumas are either doing ok or extremely well in my tank. not sure if u acclimated them to your tank lighting or just threw then anywhere in the tank...

I took great care in placement of each coral, every yuma was down low and most times shaded, i even used eggcrate over my tank to diffuse what light they would get. I have a 20k 150w hqi on a 20g high tank. I have read of people with VHO lighting having sucess with yuma. Do you have a picture of your tank to share?

all water parms are good all other corals are doing fine I have 2 250 halites for lighting the mushrooms have been in the tank for at least a year other corals in tank recordia mushrooms finger leather clam frog spawn sun coral fan sponge all looks great its like one mushroom on the rock looked bad and two days later they were all gone.
