Red Planet under leds ???

Anyone keeping Red Planet under leds ? What leds are they under . I use Cree leds but do not own a red SPS yet . Blues ,purples, pink and green are no issue . Actually any red acropora will do .
I am curious will it hold it's color ?

Pic's would help too.

Well then get a pic up! I need to see them under LED's before I maybe buy one for under my AI's.

I find cree 3w royal blue to just pop the reds and green like crazy....reds especially.

ill get you one i just wish i had a before led and after leds. i really saw a big changed in color and its still getting better.

Sorry....I have it under LED and T5HO in my frag tank. It hasnt been too long......Im just talking initial color.

I have had red planet from t5 frag to colony / MH then to leds .
It got greener when I moved it lower but that tank was low nutrient .
The kicker was the prior leds had uv emitters in them and these Cree's are XPE RB, B and XPG CW .


EG T5/MH .. Start . frag was 1 month old .

Moved to a cube 1 watt leds with UV emitters . It grew to this after almost losing it . Sorry about the bubble algae .

This coral is still alive and looks like *ss because a buddy held them for me . He claimed it fell in the sand after going away for a week . I did not want a cutting of it back so he got a nice brown out .

I am looking for another one but was curious of how red acro's do under leds .
I understand there is no UV in most leds if any .I am wondering if there was any fact or fiction of UV and reds with acro's since we know MH and T5's put out a lot of UV .

oh please, like we care about algae! I actually like the LED color better. More of a pastel tone to it.

Topleft about 5 - 6" grown from a 1.5" single branch.

wish I would have placed it lower though bc i lost most of the green, it was deep red though.

Thanks Roberto and madtanks .. That is what I was looking for . There are some complaints of LEDs not keeping reds with SPS . Ur proof is my pudding . .
Yep . RP's can lose the green when exposed to higher intensities .I am going to try this coral again soon .
Nick too bad it looks like a brown planet now .. LOL
