Come to our July 20 meeting and ask them for yourself. ;)
We'll have Joy Meadows (Head of Marketing) and Pat, one of the owners of PFO Lighting, Inc. presenting to SCMAS that night

I think I'll do that. I've been meaning to go to club meetings but simply don't have time since I work until 7p and live in Victorville.

Do you still meet at the IHOP?

Thanks
Doug

As for selling frags and equipment:
- Smaller sellers may purchase a Tier 3 slot for only $25

Will these speakers be spread out during the swap event or will there be a "moment of non-selling" while they speak?

Each speaker will be given at least an hour to speak. Considering we have only 7-hours for this whole event, no, we won't stop selling operations to listen to them speak. Opposite of IMAC and MACNA, our focus is on the vendor (buying/selling/etc) not the conference. We anticipate over 1,500 people attending this one-day event (many even flying in from out of state) so there will be plenty of activity going on from one end of the building to the other. We will have food vendors available outside the building as well. Speakers are a nice side activity to watch, but our main objective is "trade"; bringing masses of hobbyists and vendors togeter for the "Mother-of-all Marketplaces"! :)

That being said, I HIGHLY recommend bringing plenty of cash. With 60+ booth vendors and another 30+ Tier 3 sellers, there are going to be some AWESOME deals to be had that day! ;)

what do i do to get a tier 3 spot?

Carl

Tier 3 spots for Reef-A-Palooza are now available for reservation on a first-come-first-served basis until filled.
Tier 3 spots are ~32" wide (3 people share a 8-foot table) and include a chair and limited electricity. These spots are designed for hobbyists who wish to sell a few frags (true livegoods sellers should get a Tier 2 booth...or at least share aTier 2 w/another person)
(Tier 1 and Tier 2 booths are nearly sold out/only a few left)

To reserve a spot, please contact me direct at: quidproquo820@aol.com

Please provide the following information in the e-mail:
1) Full Name
2) ReefCentral Name
3) E-mail address
4) Phone number
5) Mailing address
6) Website (if any)

Here is the latest Reef-A-Palooza floorplan as of Sunday, April 3, 2007. There's not very many booths left; those who wish to participate as a booth vendor should contact me immediately. ;)

WE AIM TO PLEASE! :D

all we ask is that everyone help spread the word about RAP.
This WILL be an annual event if we get enough support!

Kevin... your PM box is full. ;) I'm at the shop now (Saturday 8am). Sorry I missed your machine message until today. :(

twice per year sounds great. i'm looking forward to the indoor spot. i got overheated and sunburned last year.

Carl

Let's hope there is enough people buying corals to make it worth it.

There sure are a lot of vendors.. I also hope noone starts a $10 sale 1 hour into the event like what happened at the coral farmers market in ontario. That was not good.

Considering the numbers at the last frag swap I attended... as compared to last year... It was about 1/2, and sales were about 1/2.
